The Holland Tunnel is a vehicular tunnel under the Hudson River. It connects Manhattan in New York City, New York, to the east, and Jersey City, New Jersey, to the west. Construction of the Holland Tunnel started in 1920, and it opened in 1927. At the time of its opening, the Holland Tunnel was the longest continuous underwater vehicular tunnel in the world.

The first Hudson River vehicular crossing, the Holland Tunnel connects Canal Street in Manhattan with 12th and 14th streets in Jersey City, NJ, and is considered an outstanding engineering achievement. As a tribute, it bears the name of its first chief engineer, Clifford M. Holland, who with his team surmounted many previously unsolved tunnel engineering problems.

Linda was kind enough to create this item for my family since we are related to Mr. Holland. I was looking for a unique way to share in the family history and now I have it. My only note is that one of the schematics was too low resolution for a large size print (16x20) so it was a little pixelated in some areas. Beyond that I loved the personal touches she included for this item and am very happy to frame it in my house and gift it to my other family members. Item shipped on time and Linda is a pleasure to work with. I've purchased from this shop before and will again.
